The Hazard Lady Bulldogs played a trio of volleyball games last week and came away with a perfect 3-0 record. The Lady Bulldogs opened with a home game against Owsley County, and finished on the road with Lee County and Jenkins.
On Monday, the Lady Bulldogs took on the Owsley County Lady Owls. The first game was tight, with Hazard pulling away near the end. They went on to win 25-22.
Things would not be so casual in the second game as Hazard went to work from the opening serve. The Lady Bulldogs went on to win the game, and the match, with the 25-6 win.
On Tuesday, Hazard found themselves on the road at the Lee County Lady Bobcats. The Lady Bulldogs had little trouble disposing of the Lady Bobcats in straight games.
In the first game, Hazard missed a couple of serves allowing Lee County to garner a couple of points. However, it did little to deter Hazard as they went on to win 25-4.
Little changed in game two as Hazard dominated play. The Lady Bulldogs completed the sweep with the 25-8 win.
The third match of the week saw the Lady Bulldogs travel to Jenkins to take on the Lady Cavaliers. This would be the closest match of the week.
In the first game, The Lady Bulldogs had to fight their way back from a brief deficit. In the end, however, it would be Hazard taking the 25-21 win.
Game two would be even closer as Hazard had to pull away late for the win. The Lady Bulldogs took the game, and the match, by the final count of 25-22.
