Scuddy man facing possible 20 years on rape charge

HAZARD — A Perry County man was indicted last week and faces 20 years in prison for allegedly raping a minor.


Stephon Slone, 31, of Scuddy, is facing one count each of first-degree rape and second-degree persistent felony offender. An indictment returned by the grand jury on Oct. 5 alleges that Slone forced an underage female to engage in sexual intercourse on Feb. 2, 2011.


He is due in Perry Circuit Court for arraignment on Nov. 8. His bail was set at $75,000.


Also indicted this month was 33-year-old Ary L. Patrick of Fisty, who is charged with one count of first-degree possession of a controlled substance for allegedly possessing meth on August 2. His bail was set at $20,000.


Cheyenne Ritchie, 19, of Fisty, was indicted on one count of first-degree promoting contraband. She is charged with introducing chemical substances into the Kentucky River Regional Jail on July 10. Her bail was set at $20,000.


Sonya Hall Jones, 37, of Bulan, is facing 10 counts of fraudulent use of a credit card for allegedly using someone else’s credit card 10 times in January to make unauthorized purchases at local businesses. Her bail was set at $30,000.


Steven B. Mullins, 29, of Bonnyman, is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, DUI second offense, operating on a suspended or revoked license, and other traffic offenses. He is alleged to have driven while intoxicated on April 4, 2011, causing a crash that created a risk of severely injuring another person. His bail was set at $40,000.


William G. Feltner, 34, of Hazard, was indicted on charges of theft over $500 and second-degree persistent felony offender for allegedly stealing merchandise from the Hazard Walmart on August 25. Bail was set at $40,000.


Delores S. Shepherd, 41, of Hazard, is charged with misdemeanor theft and tampering with physical evidence. She was alleged to have hidden or disposed of her purse containing items stolen from the Dollar Tree store on August 27. Bail was set at $20,000.


Danny Centers, 47, of Viper, is charged with one count each of first-degree possession of a controlled substance and public intoxication. He is alleged to have illegally possessed methadone on August 20. Bail was set at $20,000.


Joseph Sizemore, 29, of Hazard, was indicted on charges of tampering with physical evidence, giving an officer a false name or address, and second-degree persistent felony offender. Sizemore was alleged to have swallowed drugs in an attempt to conceal them from police on July 21. His bail was set at $30,000.


Randy Combs, 34, of Jackson, is facing charges of second-degree burglary and theft over $500. According to the indictment, Combs burglarized a home on August 26, stealing three computers. Bail was set at $30,000.


Tonya Gail Wagers, 30, of Busy, was indicted on charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, DUI, and various traffic offenses. She is alleged to have possessed oxycodone, methadone, and morphine with the intent to sell the substances on July 30. Bail was set at $30,000.


Peola Hurt is facing charges of first- and third-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to the indictment, Hurt illegally possessed methadone and oxycodone on June 12. Bail was set at $20,000.


Also indicted this month was 34-year-old Bobby J. Wilkins of Combs on charges of first-degree possession and second-degree persistent felony offender. He is alleged to have illegally possessed oxycodone and methadone on Dec. 16, 2010. Bail was set at $30,000.


Carlos Clarence Russell, 41, of Lexington, is charged with second-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief, and is alleged to have burglarized a home on August 25, during which property was damaged. Bail was set at $30,000.


Christopher Shepherd, 19, of Happy, is charged with one count of second-degree escape for allegedly escaping from home incarceration on August 7. Bail was set at $30,000.


Shane Taylor, 38, of Cornettsville, was indicted on charges of first-degree possession, misdemeanor theft and second-degree persistent felony offender. He is alleged to have illegally possessed morphine on April 24. Bail was set at $30,000.


Charles M. Olinger, 49, of Hazard, is charged with one count each of tampering with physical evidence, third-degree possession and second-degree persistent felony offender. According to the indictment, Olinger concealed a controlled substance from authorities on May 1, 2011. Bail was set at $30,000.


Randall K. Stacy, 54, of Ary, is facing charges of first-degree promoting contraband and first-degree persistent felony offender for allegedly introducing controlled substance into the Hazard jail on May 1. Bail was set at $40,000.


Tabitha M. Mosley, 26, of Hindman, is charged with first- and second-degree promoting contraband. According to the indictment, she was alleged to have introduced a prescription drug and tobacco into the Hazard jail on July 6. Bail was set at $20,000.


Trilla Brock, 39, of Avawam, is charged with one count each of first-degree promoting contraband and second-degree persistent felony offender, for allegedly introducing a controlled substance into the jail. Bail was set at $40,000.


Homer B. Chapman, 39, of Hazard, was indicted on one count of flagrant non-support, and allegedly owes more than $3,700 in back child support. Bail was set at $5,000.


Patrick J. McIntosh, 19, of Somerset, is charged with one count of theft over $500 for allegedly stealing copper wire belonging to Windstream on April 1. Bail was set at $20,000.


Walter L. Couch, 52, of Saul, is facing one count each of first-degree wanton endangerment and second-degree criminal mischief for allegedly firing a shotgun on July 3, projectiles from which struck an occupied vehicle. Bail was set at $30,000.


Claudetta Lovins, 30, of Emmalena, and 44-year-old Kala J. Maples, of Seymour, Tn., were both indicted on charges of first-degree possession, public intoxication, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Maples was additionally charged with first-degree promoting contraband. They are alleged to have illegally possessed controlled substances on March 6. Bail for both was set at $20,000.


Jerry Jones, 32, of Hodgenville, Ky., and Jimmy L. Johnson, 34, of Combs, were indicted on a charge of theft by deception over $500 for allegedly charging more than $4,700 in merchandise on someone else’s account at Home Lumber in Hazard. Johnson is also facing a charge of second-degree forgery, while Jones is also charged with one count of first-degree persistent felony offender. Bail was set at $40,000 for Jones, and $25,000 for Johnson.


Jerry McKee, 24, of Hazard, and Justin Stidham, 24, of Busy, are charged with one count of receiving stolen property over $500 for allegedly receiving firearms on August 22 while knowing them to be stolen. Bail for both was set at $20,000.


Ronald A. Good, 20, of Littcarr, and Cody J. Couch, 21, of Hazard, were each indicted on a charge of theft over $500 for allegedly obtaining prizes from an arcade game at the Hazard Walmart by cutting or disabling the prize restraining with a laser device in January. Bail was set at $20,000.
