On Saturday, the Perry County Central Lady Commodores traveled to Lexington to participate in the Lady Defenders Classic. Their opponent would be the Paul Dunbar Lady Bulldogs.
Things got off to a slow start as both teams struggled to find their range. Perry Central came out on top 12-9 at the end of the period.
The Lady Bulldogs were able to turn the tables on the Lady Commodores in the second period. The reversal sent the two teams to the locker room knotted at 18.
Perry Central was unable to break out of their funk in the third period, and continued to struggle offensively. The Lady Commodores went into the final period trailing 30-24.
Things did not get much better in the fourth quarter, and Perry Central was unable to pull off the comeback. Paul Dunbar went on to win the game 48-33.
