The Hazard Bulldogs hosted the Prestonsburg Blackcats on Tuesday, Dec. 18. The Bulldogs were able to nearly score enough points in the first period to win the contest.
The Bulldogs opened the game hot, and jumped out to the 20-5 lead in the first quarter. Just moments into the second period, Hazard had all the points they would need to win the game. They went into the locker room leading 40-16.
Hazard put together their best offensive period of the game coming out of the break, while Prestonsburg put their worst scoring effort forward. With eight minutes remaining in the game, the Bulldogs were on top 63-20.
Both teams went to their benches in the fourth quarter, and the game came to a quiet end as the clock was in continuous motion. Hazard came away with an impressive 76-27 win.
