The Hazard Lady Bulldogs played their only game in a two-week stretch last week. The Lady Bulldogs traveled to Jackson to take on the Breathitt County Lady Bobcats, putting together a strong fourth quarter to pull out the win.
Hazard would be able to get the better of Breathitt County in the first period, and came away with the 12-10 lead. However, it would be the Lady Bobcats that came up with an advantage in the second period. The turn of events put the Lady Bulldogs on the short end of a 22-20 halftime score.
The momentum stayed with Breathitt County in the third period, and the Lady Bobcats were able to extend their lead. With eight minutes remaining to play, Hazard needed to make up eight points (36-28).
The Lady Bulldogs went for broke in the fourth quarter, and quickly began to make up some points. Hazard exploded and nearly doubled their offensive output for the game. The rally netted the Lady Bulldogs the 50-46 come-from-behind win. Brooke Sharpey tallied a triple-double in the game.
