James Caldwell, 68, died Friday, Dec. 21 at the Hazard ARH medical center.
He was born October 16, 1944 in Ohio, the son of the late Gordon Caldwell and the late Pauline Lindsey Caldwell. He was also preceded in death by his son, Ricky Allen Caldwell, four sisters, and two brothers.
James was a retired truck driver and was one of the founders of Potters House Ministries, where he served as vice president.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Caldwell of Hazard; sons Michael Caldwell and wife Sara of Hazard, and Scott Caldwell and Rhonda of Hazard; daughter Kathleen Campbell of London; brothers Robert Lee Caldwell, Johnny Caldwell, and Ronnie Caldwell, all of Ohio; sisters Martha Caldwell of Ohio, Judy McDough of Ohio, Rebecca Colwell of Stanton, and Norma Jean of Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. James Caldwell will be conducted on Monday, Dec. 24 at 1 p.m. at the Potters House Ministries with Rev. Donnie Enfusse, Joe Asher, and Johnnie Akers officiating. The interment will follow in the Combs Cemetery at Combs.
