Nancy Jane Fields Markley, 78, was reunited with her loving husband Leonard and daughter Shirley on Saturday, Dec. 29 after a lengthy illness in the comfort of her home with her family and her dog Missy.
Nancy was born October 29, 1934 in Leslie County. She was born to the late Ardill and Lola (Parker) Fields. She grew up in the coal fields of Kentucky and came to Ohio at 16 years old to find work. She resided in Cleveland and Brunswick before becoming a resident of Seville for 37 years.
She was employed by Admiral Machine and retired from Permold Corp in 2000 after many years of service. She loved growing flowers, yard work, and fishing. She loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Patti Ritter and husband Farrin of Creston, and Terrie Casenhiser and husband Whitey of Norton; son Billy of New Concord; grandchildren Ron Neiger and wife Kelly, Sam Frehmeyer, Danielle Markley, Amanda Wood, Leonard Markley, and Ryan Markley; great-grandchildren Megan, Haylee, Lacey, and Dorian; and siblings Bertha Everidge, Ethel Combs, and Larry Fields of Kentucky, and Danny Fields of Indiana. She also leaves behind her loving companion and buddy, Ralph E. Hatcher of Barberton, who gave her 12 wonderful years of happiness.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley; husband Leonard; sisters, Lois, Arnetta, and Juanita; and son-in-law George.
She will be greeted in heaven by many, many friends and family. Many thanks to Hospice of Summa and special thanks to nurse Amy.
Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 5 at 11 a.m. at Medina Community Church, 416 S. Broadway St., Medina, Ohio. Pastor Doug Davidson will officiate. Burial will take place at Brunswick City Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
