Hazard falls to Estill in close contest

The Hazard Lady Bulldogs hosted the Estill County Lady Engineers late last week at the auxiliary gym at the high school. The Lady Bulldogs jumped out to a big lead early, but could not hold on as the Lady Engineers edged the Lady Bulldogs 56-55.

The Lady Bulldogs could do no wrong in the first quarter, and jumped out to the 17-6 lead at the horn. The Lady Engineers reversed the trend in the second period, and sent the game to the locker room tied at 25.

The two teams played to a 13-all tie in the third quarter, leaving the fate of the game to the fourth quarter. Hazard made a strong run in the final period, but fell late to Estill County 56-55.
