Delmer Wayne King, 63, of Nicholasville, died Monday, Feb. 18 at the hospice care center in Hazard.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a retired production worker. He was the son of the late Matt King and the late Mary Cundiff King, and was also preceded in death by his brother, Matt King, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Kaye King; daughter Samantha Estes and husband James; step-daughters Carrie Neace and husband Stephen, Aleah Combs, and Cathy Combs and husband Nicholas; sister Peggy Jones and husband Bobby; grandchildren Courtney, Tyler, Johnathan, Amber, and Hayden; niece Laura Stinson and husband Keith; great-nieces Riley and Reagon; loyal friend Jannette Howard; and a host of family and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20. Services will begin at noon on Thursday, Feb. 21 with Frances Dyer-Zimmerman officiating. Interment will be at Jackson Cemetery in Jackson, Ky. DAV rites will be administered by Hazard Chapter 64.
