Work continued on the new shelter along Main Street next to Hazard City Hall Wednesday morning. The shelter is being constructed by the city to replace the aging structure demolished a few weeks ago. The new structure is being built with grant and other funds, and represents a project to help revitalize the street scape in downtown Hazard. The former shelter was built more than three decades ago during the term of the late Mayor Bill Gorman.
