On Friday, the Perry County Central Commodores hosted the Lee County Bobcats. The Bobcats opened the game strong, but Perry Central was able to eventually tie the game. However, the Bobcats would pulled away for the win.
Lee County opened the game with five runs in the top of the first inning. Perry Central was able to notch two runs in the bottom of the frame.
Over the next four innings, the Commodores were able to climb back into the game, and at the end of five innings, the game was tied at 5-all. Perry Central would not be able to close out the game as the Bobcats were able to plate seven runs in the final two innings to take the 12-5 lead.
The Commodores were able to get a rally going in the bottom of the seventh inning, but it was cut short at two runs. Lee County went on to win the game by the final count of 12-7.
