Last week, the Perry County Central Lady Commodores took on the Buckhorn Lady Wildcats. The Lady Commodores got off to a slow start before they exploded for the 16-0 win.
The Lady Commodores were unable to scratch out a run in the first inning, but more than made up for it in the second as they exploded for nine runs, all but ensuring an early ending to the contest.
Perry Central tacked on three runs in the third inning, and another five runs in the fourth. The runs were enough to end the game early, with the Lady Commodores taking the 16-0 win.
Shelby Sheffield got the win on the mound, throwing the shutout with six strikeouts and one hit.
