The Buckhorn Wildcats hosted the Harlan Green Dragons last week. The two teams battled throughout the game, with the Wildcats getting a run in the final frame for the 9-8 win.
Harlan got on the board first with three runs in the top of the first inning. Buckhorn answered with a single run in the bottom of the frame (3-1).
The Green Dragons went up 5-1 in the top of the second, but it did not last long as the Wildcats scored five in the bottom, giving them the 6-5 advantage.
Harlan went up 7-6 in the third inning, but gave the two runs back in the fifth (8-7). The Green Dragons tied the game in the sixth inning, but could not hold off the Wildcats as they grabbed the win with a run in the bottom of the seventh inning (9-8).
Shannon Blank got the win, going the distance with two walks and six strikeouts.
