The Perry County Central Lady Commodores traveled to North Laurel this past weekend to participate in the Jaguar Invitational Tournament. When the smoke had cleared, the Lady Commodores limped away with a 1-3 record.
The Lady Commodores played well against the Lady Engineers of Estill County, but could not force any runs across the plate. The Lady Engineers were able to eek out three runs in the contest to claim the 3-0 victory.
Shelby Sheffield got the loss, going the distance with three runs, five hits, five strikeouts, and four walks.
Perry Central (0) Mahayla Walker 1 hit, Pam Sebastian 2 hits, Shaelyn Eversole 1 hit, and Hannah Johnson 2 hits.
Perry Central was then able to pick up a win, taking down the East Ridge Lady Warriors 2-0. The Lady Commodores picked up both runs in the fourth inning. Shelby Sheffield got the win, going the distance with four hits, 10 strikeouts, and three walks.

The Lady Commodores then lost to Greenup County 1-0. The only run of the game came early in the first inning off a homerun. Whitney Back got the loss, going the distance giving up one run on three hits, with eight strikeouts, and and walk.

Perry Central rounded out the event with another game against East Ridge. This time the tables would be turned as the Lady Warriors rallied for the 2-0 win. Shelby Sheffield went the distance for the Lady Commodores, giving up two runs on four hits, with six strikeouts and no walks.
