Oscar Campbell, 75, of Hazard, died Tuesday, June 25 at the hospice care center in Hazard.
He was a retired security guard and son of the late Boyd Campbell and the late Lillie Morgan Campbell. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margery Hensley Campbell; sister Iva Jean Campbell; brothers Karl Campbell and Billy Wayne Campbell; and grandchildren Cynthia Stidham and Brayden Allen.
He is survived by daughter Ruby Allen and husband Rufus of Louisville, Nancy Campbell of Hazard, and Cynthia Cassinelli of Hazard; sisters Wilma Hogle of Melborne, Ky. and Linda Trent of Brownsfork; brothers Charles Ed Campbell of Brownsfork, Gerald Campbell of Corbin, Donnie Campbell of Michigan, and Roger Campbell of Alabama; and special niece Sharon Hardin of Illinois.
He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Brothers Funeral Home of Hazard, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 30. Services will immediately follow with Gerald Deaton officiating. Interment will be at Resthaven Cemetery in Jeff.
