Mary Lou Cornett Haddix, 66, died Monday, June 24 at the Hazard ARH medical center.
She was born in Hazard on May 16, 1947, to the late Cecil and Eula Mae Cornett. Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Joan Pierce, and father-in-Law W.C. Haddix.
She is survived by her husband, Randall Haddix of Lothair; daughters Dawn Bastille and husband Robert of Hagerstown, Maryland, and Lori Haddix of Hazard; granddaughters Laura Bastille McKendrick, Stephanie Bastille, and Erika Bastille; mother-in-law Alta Mae Haddix; sister-in-law Shelly Brashear of Airport Gardens; nephew Alex Brashear of Airport Gardens; special poodle Jake; and a host of special friends and relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 27 with Jeff Lambert officiating at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home of Hazard, where there is visitation between the hours of 5 until 7 p.m. on Thursday evening prior to the service. There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Riverside Cemetery located in Hazard.
