HAZARD—A man is facing sexual abuse and assault charges after allegedly groping and biting an underage female at a motel in Perry County this week.
Timothy Lee Beasley, 20, of Liberty, N.C., was arrested early Thursday morning at the Super 8 Motel in Hazard after police received complaints he had assaulted a 12-year-old female in the lobby of the motel.
Arresting officer Billy J. Caudill, with the Hazard Police Department, wrote in the arrest warrant that there was video surveillance footage of Beasley in the lobby with the minor.
“(Beasley) made sexual contact with a female juvenile’s breast without her consent and female had one bite mark on her face that I could visibly see, but female also advised she was bit two more times on the neck,” Caudill wrote.
After receiving an arrest warrant for Beasley for the alleged abuse on the minor, Caudill went to arrest Beasley in his motel room. Upon reaching his room, Caudill wrote he asked Beasley’s roommate to have him come to the door so he could speak to police.
“Above subject (Beasley) walked completely outside of his hotel room and could not stand. Above subject smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech, and (was) very unsteady on his feet,” Caudill wrote.
Beasley is being held at the Kentucky River Regional Jail on one count third-degree sexual abuse, one count fourth-degree assault, and one count alcohol intoxication in a public place. His arraignment is set for Aug. 26.
