The Perry County Central Commodore soccer team traveled to Belfry last week to take on the Pirates. The Commodores did not come away with the win, however, they did not take the loss as the two teams tied at two goals each.
Tyler Mullins opened the game with a goal in the seventh minute. Mullins took a corner kick that volleyed in the box, and deposited it in the net. Belfry would tie the game just before the half.
The Commodores went back on top 2-1 in the second half as Jake Mullis put a ball deep, and Logan Spencer ran down the ball. Spencer then beat a charging goalie for the lead.
With mere seconds on the clock, the Pirates bent a long shot into goal, tying the game at two. There was no time for the Commodores to retaliate, and the game ended with a tie.
