The Cordia Lions took on the Thomas Nelson Generals in a scrimmage game at Perry Central on Saturday. The two teams played even through the first period, with Thomas Nelson pulling away later in the game.
Cordia used their speed and long range shooting to open an early lead. However, later in the game, Thomas Nelson’s size began to take its toll in the paint. The game was even at the end of the first period, with the Generals going into the break up by double digits.
The Lions were once again able to even the tally in the third period, but could not erase their deficit. The Generals put on a strong push late to pull away for the win.
Cordia: Anthony Tagaloa 14, Austin Combs 18, Zeke Biallas 2, Oumar Keita 8, Ajenee Chisolm 5, Jaemon Catchings 11, Justin Cornett 8 and Anthony Gayheart 3.
