Commodores split week

The Perry County Central Commodores played a pair of games on the road this week. The Commodores won an overtime game (63-60) over Knox Central on Tuesday, and then lost to Knott Central on Friday (60-77).

Justin Johnson continued his double-double assault against Knox Central as he went for 25 points and 16 rebounds. Braxton Beverly tossed in 16 points with 7 rebounds in the win.

Perry vs Knox: Braxton Beverly 16 (7 rebounds), Tyler Fugate 2 (2 rebounds), Austin Hill 2 (1 rebound), Justin Johnson 25 (16 rebounds), Austin Neace 6, Damon Tobler 4 (4 rebounds), John Toomer 2 (7 rebounds) and Matt Turner 6 (1 rebound).

On Valentines’ Day, the Commodores did not feel the love as they traveled to Hindman to take on the Patriots. Perry Central did not have their best game, and fell to Knott Central 60-77. Braxton Beverly led the way with 25 points. Justin Johnson had yet another double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
