On Sunday, the Buckhorn Wildcats traveled to Pippa Passes to take on the June Buchanan Crusaders. The Wildcats fell behind early, but rallied to stop the Crusaders.
June Buchanan took the early momentum, and rode it to the 13-10 first period lead. However, Buckhorn put an end to the Crusaders’ attack, and went up 30-17 at the break.
The Wildcats came out of the locker room cold, and lost a little of their momentum. They were able to hold on to a small lead (41-34) going into the final period.
Buckhorn left no doubt as to the outcome of the game as they exploded in the fourth quarter, winning going away 68-50. Connor Hoskins and James Blair each had 14 points in the win.
