HDA hosts 15th Annual Repair Affair

HAZARD—The Housing Development Alliance (HDA) hosted the 15th Annual Perry County Repair Affair on Saturday, and was able to help 10 different needy households in the area complete housing projects that may not have otherwise been done.

HDA Volunteer and Community Coordinator Jane Rose Britton said just over 100 volunteers registered for the event early Saturday morning at the Hazard Wendy’s restaurant. Teams from organizations across the county, including the Perry County Drug Court and numerous community churches, were assigned to sites for improvement projects that ranged from building ramps to repainting houses.

Britton said none of the work done at the Repair Affair would have been possible with out grant funds provided by Equitable Resources (EQT) and without support for their sponsors, which included:
