The Perry County Central Lady Commodores opened their season with the Middlesboro Lady Jackets. The game was extremely close in the first half, with the Lady Commodores pulling away in the second half for the 65-43 win.


The Lady Commodores got off to a rocky start, falling behind. Perry Central then caught fire and went on to lead 13-10 at the horn.

The momentum stayed with Perry Central in the second period as they pulled ahead. Middlesboro tipped the scales later in the quarter, leaving the Lady Commodores with a 27-25 lead at the break.

The fact that the Lady Commodores played 15 players in the first half took its toll on the Lady Jackets. With Middlesboro’s resolve down, Perry Central began to pull away. Going into the final period, the Lady Commodores led 46-32.

Perry Central put the game on ice early in the fourth quarter, and went to the end of their bench. The Lady Commodores went on to collect the 65-43 win.
