Last week, the Hazard-Perry little league program hosted the inaugural Red, White and Boom baseball tournament. The tournament was not affiliated with little league, but was an independent tournament held over the Fourth of July holiday.

More than 20 teams from across the state and West Virginia participated in the event. The tournament started with pool play on Saturday, and ended with a single elimination bracket play on Sunday. Each of the Hazard-Perry teams played well, and finished strong in the tournament.
