HAZARD—The Perry County grand jury returned a scant number of indictments this month, not even coming close to breaking into the double digits.


Larry A. Lewis, 45, of Hazard, was indicted this month on one count of operating a motor vehicle under the influence, one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (more than 10 units), one count of third-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (more than 20 units), and one count of carrying a concealed weapon. Bail was set at $25,000 cash in the case.


Also indicted this month was 41-year-old Wilma F. Craft, of Hazard. Craft was indicted on one count of public intoxication, one count of first-offense possession of a controlled substance, one count of third-offense possession of a controlled substance, one count of illegal possession of a legend drug, one count of prescription drugs not in the proper container, and one count of buying or possessing drug paraphernalia. A $25,000 cash bond was set in the case.


Ance Collins, 37, of Hazard, was also indicted this month one count of driving under the influence, fourth offense, one count of first-degree wanton endangerment, one count of no operator’s license, one count of third-offense driving on a DUI suspended license, and one count of license to be in possession. Bail was set at $25,000 cash with home incarceration.
