HAZARD — The City of Hazard lifted a boil water advisory issued on Thursday, August 15, for the communities of Krypton and Campbell Creek Mountain.

The Kentucky Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Cabinet, Division of Water, has determined through analyses of water samples taken on the Hazard Water System that the water is safe for human consumption as of Wednesday, August 20.

The condition that prompted the boil water advisory has been resolved. Therefore, it is no longer necessary to boil water from the Hazard Water System before using it.
