The Perry County Central Lady Commodores’ soccer team played a pair of games last week and came away empty. The Lady Commodores hosted the Lady Engineers early in the week, and finished with Thomas Nelson.

In their first game, Perry Central jumped out to an early 1-0 lead over the Estill County Lady Engineers, but later gave the goal back.

In the second half, the Lady Commodores again went up, scoring a second time and taking the 2-1 advantage. Just a few seconds later, the game was tied again (2-all).

Estill County would sneak in another goal late, and fell back into a defensive stand. Perry Central made several strong runs at the goal, but came away empty on each attempt.

The Lady Commodores would not be able to tie the game, and fell by the final score of 3-2. Kelsey Lowe scored both goals for Perry Central, while Brooke Campbell and Dallas Coots each contributed with assists. The loss dropped their season record to 4-5.

On Saturday, the Lady Commodores traveled to Lexington to take on the Lady Generals of Thomas Nelson from the 5th Region. The Lady Generals were 10-1 on the season with their only loss being in the first game. The game on Saturday was part of the Lafayette Turf Invitational.

Perry Central would never get into the game as Thomas Nelson jumped out to a big lead early. The Lady Commodores fell to 4-6 on the season with the 8-0 loss.
