The Perry County Central Lady Commodores played a pair of games last week as they closed out their regular season, first traveling to Prestonsburg and then hosting Corbin on senior night.

Early in the week, Perry Central traveled to Prestonsburg to take on the Blackcats. The Lady Commodores were stretched to the limit as a full five games were necessary to settle the match. Perry Central took the first two games, but then surrendered the next two. The Lady Commodores had to pull out the 3-2 win in game five.

Game one was tight with Perry Central pulling away late for the 25-21 win. The momentum carried over to game two as the Lady Commodores notched the 25-16 victory. The next two games went to Prestonsburg 25-21 and 25-10.

Game five was a race to 15. Perry Central fell behind early, but managed to rally. The Lady Commodores went on to take the game, and match, with the 15-12 win.

The Lady Commodores welcomed in the Corbin Lady Redhounds for senior night. Rachel Mullins and Hayley Back would play their final regular season match at home (the Lady Commodores will host the district).

Corbin proved to be too strong in game one, taking the easy 25-11 win. Game two would see Perry Central pick up the pace. The Lady Commodores led early and continued to lead late in the game. However, the Lady Redhounds would find a way to win by the final score of 30-28. The Lady Commodores put up a valiant effort in game three as well, but Corbin walked away with the 25-22 win, and the match.
