The Perry County Central Commodores began their defense of the 14th region soccer title with the Jackson City Tigers. The Commodores came into the match throwing a shutout in tournament play.

The Commodores scored early as Jacob Farris found Logan Spencer at the top of the box. Spencer quickly deposited the ball past a diving goalie for the 1-0 lead.

Zac Combs put the Commodores up 2-0 as he chipped a shot over an onrushing goalie. The 2-0 score held until the half.

Combs then opened the scoring for the second half, netting the ball off the pass from Jacob Farris. Perry Central then went up 4-0 when Brit Hughes whipped a free kick toward the goal and found Brandon Wooton waiting for the score.

Down the stretch, Tyler Mullins and Jacob Farris each managed to break into the scoring column, boosting the Commodore lead to 6-0. Jaden Combs led Perry Central with seven shots on goal for the night.

The win put the Commodores in the championship game.
