The Perry County Central Commodores made it to the second round of the state 5A playoffs this season, finishing with a 6-6 record. The Commodores took on some tough competition throughout the season, with the defense playing hard the whole way. At the end of the season, Junior Michael Shepherd led the defense with 97 tackles.


Perry Central’s secondary also helped the Commodores reach the playoffs as they racked up 12 interceptions and 13 fumble recoveries. Senior Tyler Fugate led the way in both categories, accumulating 3 fumble recoveries and 6 interceptions.
