The Perry County Central Lady Commodores hosted the Hazard Lady Bulldogs Friday. The Lady Commodores jumped out to the early lead, and sailed to the 97-65 victory.


The Lady Bulldogs were able to keep pace early in the first period, but as the period entered the midway point, the Lady Commodore pressure began to take its toll. At the horn, Perry Central had built a 32-13 lead.


Hazard caught fire in the second period, and began to hit shots from all over the floor. They were able to shave a few points off their deficit, but it was Perry Central that went into the locker room with the 55-41 lead.


In true Perry Central fashion, the Lady Commodores came out hot in the third period, and put the game on ice. The Lady Commodores got the better of the Lady Bulldogs 23-9, and went into the fourth quarter with the 78-50 advantage.


Perry Central went deep into their bench in the fourth quarter, and continued to hold onto their lead. The Lady Commodores finished off the game with the 97-65 win.


Kayla Rankin led the Lady Commodores with 34 points, while Maddison Niece led the Lady Bulldogs with 23 points.
