The Perry County Central Commodores traveled to Clay County to participate in the Bobby Keith Classic on Saturday. Their opponent would be the North Laurel Jaguars.

The Commodores came out strong in the first period and built a 20-13 lead. However, North Laurel would pick up the pace in the second period, limiting the Perry Central halftime lead to 33-31.

The two teams battled back-and-forth in the third period, but Perry Central managed to stay on top 53-49. The fourth period proved to be a real barnburner, with the Commodores narrowly escaping with the 66-64 win.

Perry Central (66) Justin Johnson 23 (18 rebounds, 5 blocks, 3 assists and 1 steal), Braxton Beverly 13 (8 assists and 3 steals), Austin Hill 11 (2 rebounds and 1 assist, Travis Stacy 3, Damon Tobler 8 (7 rebounds,1 assist and 1 steal), Matt Turner (1 rebound, 3 assists and 1 steal), Austin Neace 6 (1 assist) and Jerrin Bowen 2 (1 rebound and 1 assist).
