The Buckhorn Wildcats and the Robinson Blue Jays hooked up in the opening round of the 6th grade county tournament. The Wildcats had little trouble disposing of the Blue Jays, and moving on in the tournament.

It was all Wildcats in the opening frame as they jumped out to the 18-2 lead. Things cooled off in the second period, but Buckhorn managed to preserve their lead, and went into the locker room with the 22-5 advantage.

The Blue Jays picked up the pace in the third period, but it would not be enough to get them back into the game (33-12). The Wildcats closed out the game strong, and moved on in the tournament with the 44-13 win.

Buckhorn (44) E. Woods 11, K. Bowling 9, T. Gibson 9, M. McIntosh 11, T. Brewer 2 and C. Bailey 2.
