The final 6th grade game on opening night featured the Chavies Cardinals and the A. B. Combs Bearcats. The Cardinals jumped out to the early lead, and never looked back as they rolled to the 54-26 win.


Chavies took control of the tempo at the tap, and forced the issue throughout the first period (18-5). The Cardinals eased up on the pressure in the second period, allowing the Bearcats to put some points on the board. The Cardinals went into the break with the 30-12 advantage.

Chavies put a revolving line up on the floor throughout the second half, keeping control of the game down the stretch. At the end of the third period, Chavies held the 43-20 lead, and ended the game with the 54-26 win.
