Last week, the Hazard Lady Bulldog softball team traveled to Lee County to take on the Lady Bobcats. The game was tight early, but the Lady Bulldogs were able to race ahead for the big win (17-6).

The Lady Bobcats got the better of the first inning exchange (5-4), but that would be the last lead they would muster. Hazard jumped ahead in the second inning with two runs (6-5).

The two teams traded runs in the fourth inning (7-6), but it would be all Lady Bulldogs from that point. Hazard scored two runs in the fifth inning, three in the sixth, and finished with five runs in the final frame, giving them the 17-6 win.

Chandler Maggard got the win, going the distance with 11 hits, 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. Maddison Niece and Alyssa Muha each added a homerun.

Hazard (17) Morgan Robinson 2 hits and 4 runs; Maddison Niece 3 hits, 3 runs and 4 RBI (HR); Aaliyah Stupart 2 hits, 1 run and 2 RBI; McKenzie Herald 3 hits, 3 runs and 2 RBI; Tori Wells 3 hits, 1 run and 2 RBI; Lexie Griffie 3 RBI; Chandler Maggard 1 hit and 2 runs; Alyssa Muha 2 hits, 2 runs and 2 RBI (HR); and Jordan Fugate 1 run.
