The Perry County Central Lady Commodores took on the Pike Central Lady Hawks as part of the Powell County tournament. The Lady Commodores were able to outlast the Lady Hawks in a wild shootout 18-7.

Perry Central took the early 3-2 lead in the first inning, and continued to stay on top with two runs in the third and fourth innings. Pike Central tied the game with three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning (7-all).

The Lady Commodores shut out the Lady Hawks in the second half, while going on a scoring binge. Perry Central scored five runs in the fifth inning and three run in the sixth and seventh innings (18-7). Lauryn Fugate got the win on the mound, going the distance with 6 strikeouts and 0 walks.
