The Hazard-Perry 13- and 14-year-olds took on the team from Corbin last week. Hazard-Perry trailed early, but a break out third inning led them to the win.


Hazard-Perry took the 2-0 lead in the first inning, but fell behind 5-3 by the end of the second frame. They then exploded for 11 runs in the third inning to go up 14-5.


The two teams traded runs in the fourth inning, bringing the tally to 16-7. Hazard-Perry then stopped the game in the fifth inning with a run that put them up ten runs (17-7).
