The Perry County Central Commodores are hoping for big things from their new coach and new season. The Commodores have gone through a revolving door of coaches since the school began, and are now looking for some consistency as former player Jordan Amis takes the helm.

Perry Central lost 11 seniors off last year’s squad, with most of them coming off the defense. The Commodores have several young players to fill the gaps on the line, but will be looking for new faces to step up and fill the secondary.

The Commodores will be returning one of the areas most dangerous players in Nathan Pray. Pray is a strong defensive player, but offensively he can score in a multitude of ways. Perry Central will also be returning their quarterback, Seth Napier for his junior season. They will also be returning their defensive signal caller, Michael Shepherd who will be a senior this season.

The Commodores went 6-6 last season, bowing out in the second round of the playoffs. Perry Central set a couple of school firsts in the playoffs last season, and will be looking to build some more school history this season.
