The Perry County Central volleyball team suffered through one of their least productive seasons last year, finishing with a disappointing 6-18 record. This season the Lady Commodores are looking to improve, and get back to the level of play they are accustomed to.

The Lady Commodores are one step closer to their goal as they will put nine seniors on the court this season. They will also mix five new players into the line up as they start the season.

Perry Central as set several goals for the upcoming season. Coach Te Huna commented, “We would like to make it out of the district. We have not been able to do that in two years. We would also like to make it to the state tournament, since it has been nearly 10 years since we made the field. Most of all we would like to end the season with a .500 record.”
