On Saturday, the Hazard Lady Bulldogs traveled to Pike County to participate in the Champions of the Mountains Classic. The volleyball tournament was held in several locations around the county.

The Lady Bulldogs kicked things off with a team from Carter, Tennessee. Hazard would have to take the full three games to pull out the win.

The first game was close with Hazard holding on for the 25-22 win. Game two would not go the Lady Bulldogs way as their opponents would grab the 19-25 victory, forcing a deciding game. This time, Hazard would control the tempo from the onset, taking the 15-9 win, and the match.

Hazard stats: Madison Gadbury 1 kill and 2 aces, Hope Clark 7 kills and 4 aces, Hannah Keenan 9 assists, Ashleigh Bryant 2 kills and 4 aces, Destiny Walker 1 kill and 1 ace, and Brinkley Chitwood 1 kill.
