CHAVIES – A boil water advisory was issued in Perry County Friday for customers living along a portion of Highway 451.

The City of Hazard issued the advisory, which includes those customers beginning at the Chavies curve of Ky. 451 to the head of Keneva Road. The advisory was issued after a waterline break caused the potential threat for bacterial contamination.

The advisory began on Friday, Sept. 21, and will extend until tests can be confirm that the threat of bacterial contamination in the water has been removed.
