The Hazard Lady Bulldog volleyball team had but one game last week, and they had to board a bus and travel to Owsley County. The Lady Bulldogs had little trouble dispatching of the Lady Owls as they took the match in straight games.
Hazard got off to a great start and left Owsley County in the dust. The Lady Bulldogs went on to win the game by the final count of 25-11.
The Lady Owls picked up the pace a little in game two, but could not keep pace with the Lady Bulldogs. Game two belonged to the Lady Bulldogs with a 25-16 tally.
Owsley County’s progress continued into game three, but once again it would not be enough to deter Hazard. The Lady Bulldogs swept the match with a 25-19 win.
Hazard stats: Sarah Pratt 23 assists and 10 aces, Maddison Niece 10 kills, 1 dig and 2 aces, Paige Williams 2 kills, 1 assist and 5 aces, Lindsey Branson 2 kills, 2 digs and 4 assists, Marjorie Hammonds 10 kills and 6 aces, Krystann Thies 6 kills, 4 digs and 3 aces, and Chandler Maggard 2 aces.
