Listen! Did you hear that?

Two times the president spoke last week, and each time I felt the need to take a shower. The president of the United States speaking to the nation and to the Republican membership of government in a way that insulted everyone.

Are we to believe that the entire nation is too stupid to understand anything that is being discussed by his cabinet? No, but what we have to believe is he considers us to be just that stupid.

The Tea Party folks, the conservative folks, the Republicans and the Democrats who do not follow each and every word he speaks, as if it were the gospel, are just not of significance to his majesty’s agenda.

He even went as far as to say it was his fault for not explaining healthcare better to us dummies so that we could understand. The problem being we do understand, but we just don’t like it. It’s enough to make you think we need to speak slower so that he will understand as he just doesn’t seem to get it.

The next disgusting thing about the last two outings of the president is the term, “bipartisan.” It’s always used by the politicians who want to appear to be concerned about the nation so much as to give in to compromise with the other side of the aisle.

“Hey, listen up!” The last thing America needs is for the two corrupt bodies of politics to get together on anything except silence. They have proven time and time again that neither party has the country’s interest at heart, just their own.

The elections in Virginia, New Jersey, and Massachusetts now have many of our officials worrying about their future. They might even find it necessary to give up their high minded ideals in order to keep their office.

High minded ideals? These people of principle would never give up something so sacred as their beliefs just to satisfy the American public, unless it meant they were going to lose their office.

The ones who refuse to admit that someone might disagree with them, folks like Pelosi and Reid, are on an equal basis in arrogance with Obama, and actually think this is just a matter of our ignorance. She contends Obamacare will be passed and they will save the American public.

Do these party leaders ever hear a newscast other than MSNBC? Do they never hear from people who do not live in Washington? It sure sounds like they don’t. And it’s for sure they do not listen to members of government who do hear the people’s growing numbers of dissent. If they did they might understand why their support is dwindling even within their own majority.

The president and his cronies are now talking about jobs. They want to improve the job market and the economy before the 2010 elections. If there is improvement it will be great, but it doesn’t really look good for that prospect.

The working people who have lost their jobs will be happy to get them back, or get anything for that matter, but will it make them support the current administration?

To support the current administration would indicate that the working people want to work in order to pay more and more taxes to support health care and cap and trade. Any working person who wants to see those issues pass is committing economic suicide, and unlike the higher ups, we know working Americans are not that stupid.

The obvious indications from the recent elections are that Americans are sick of the mess we have in our political leadership. This is a trend that is not only showing up in regard to Washington, but to state governments as well.

In Kentucky we have our own arrogant politicians who are facing the thumbs down from the voters. Governor Beshear is as determined to put gambling machines in Kentucky as Nancy Pelosi is to shoving health care down our throats while Obama keeps preaching cap and trade.

He did so during the State of the Union address after which Osama Bin Laden gave him and Al Gore his endorsement on blaming the United States for global warming. What a trio, “Now performing on the big stage, Osama, Obama, and Gore.”

No matter how much we say, our arrogant officials are not listening. They do not hear us, nor do they think we have the intelligence necessary to comment on their level. Well, in drug treatment there is a saying that should be applied to government officials. “Take the cotton out of your ears and put it in your mouth before the undertaker puts it in your butt.”

Those of you who can walk, chew gum, and vote at the same time need to be in Frankfort on Saturday, February 20 at noon to show your concern for issues that need to be addressed by the legislature.
