Perry pulls off comeback on Southwestern

The Perry County Central Lady Commodores hosted the Southwestern Lady Warriors last week. The Lady Commodores struggled in the first half of the game, and fell down double-digits before staging a comeback that would net them the win.

Perry Central could not find the basket in the opening frame, and quickly lost ground the Southwestern. The Lady Commodores went into the intermission trailing by double digits.

Things did not come around for Perry Central in the third period, but by the time they entered the final quarter, they were on a roll.

The Lady Commodores were able to pull out the 63-59 win. Kayla Rankin notched another double-double on the week with 21 points and 15 rebounds.

Perry Central (63) Whitney Back 19 (1 rebound), Lyndci Combs 6 (1 rebound), Perri Coots 8 (5 rebounds), Whitney Evans 3, Randi Carol Napier 4 (4 rebounds), Kayla Rankin 21 (15 rebounds), and Pam Sebastian 2 (3 rebounds).
