Ambulances await on the scene where a Perry County school bus collided with a passenger car on Monday.

DWARF – Emergency personnel are on the scene of a head-on collision involving a Perry County school bus.

The collision happened at approximately 4 p.m. Monday at Pine Valley Road just off of Highway 80, about a mile from the Knott County Line, and involved the bus and a passenger car. The driver of the car was transported to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

According to police at the scene, the bus driver was also transported, while the parents of one of the three children were also expected to transport their child for examination. Their conditions are not known at this time, though officials say none of the injuries are life threatening.

None of the other children on the bus at the time of the accident were reported to have been injured.
