The Vicco Fire Department responded to the fire Tuesday afternoon, but were unable to save the residence.

A house fire in the Vicco community of Perry County left neighbors fearing for their own home.

The Vicco Fire Department responded to the fire at 650 Montgomery Creek Rd. Tuesday afternoon, just before 2 p.m. The fire was fully involved, according to dispatchers.

Neighbors said the house had not been lived in for about five years.

The Herald will update this story as more information becomes available.
