On Friday, the Hazard Bulldogs closed out their week with the Allen Central Rebels. The game was close throughout, with the Bulldogs putting together a strong rally late to pull off the 6-2 win.
Allen Central opened the game with a run in top half of the first inning. Hazard reciprocated in the bottom of the frame (1-1).
The Bulldogs went up 3-1 in the fourth inning as they crossed the plate twice. The Rebels cut the lead to one with a run in the fifth inning (3-2).
Hazard put the game on ice in the sixth inning, doubling their score with three runs (6-2). Evan Whitaker smacked a homerun driving in two. The Bulldogs’ defense held strong in the seventh inning, giving them the win.
