Structure fire starts forest fire near Darfork

A fire at an abandoned trailer near Darfork started a forest fire on the hill side behind the old M.C. Napier School.
A trailer on Sonny Drive appeared to have been torn down and burned. While the fire did not harm anyone and no possessions were lost since the trailer was empty, it did start a fire on the hill side behind it. The fire continued to spread and cover much of the area behind the home as of Tuesday afternoon.
Jake's Branch Fire Department responded to a call from the 911 center, but upon arrival said that there was nothing there to save. They then called out the Division of Forestry which began to contain the fire.
