The Perry County Central Lady Commodores hosted the Knott Central Lady Patriots in high school softball action Monday evening at the park. The Lady Commodores needed but three innings to bring the affair to an end as they routed the Lady Patriots 15-0.

Perry Central exploded in the first inning, touching the plate nine times. The rally was a little slow developing as many of the runs came after the second out (and maybe the third as there was a question on a call in the field).

In the bottom of the second, the Lady Commodores went to work again. This time they scored six runs to bring their tally to 15. Knott Central got a runner to third in the third inning, but could not get them across the plate, this ended the game early with Perry Central taking the 15-0 win.

Whitney Back got the win on the mound, going three innings, giving up no runs on two hits. Back struck out seven and walked one.

Perry Central stats: Morgan Combs 2 hits, 2 runs and 4 RBI, Whitney Back 2 hitsw, 3 runs and 1 RBI, Shelby Sheffield 1 hit, 1 run and 1 RBI, Melia Kemper 2 hits and 4 RBI, Hannah Johnson 2 runs, Shaelyn Eversole 2 runs, Pam Sebastian 1 hit, 2 runs and 2 RBI, Rachel Curry 2 hits, 2 runs and 2 RBI and Makayla Hall 1 run.
