The Hazard Bulldogs traveled to Hindman on Friday to take on the Knott Central Patriots. The game entered the midway point knotted at seven, but a barrage by the Bulldogs lifted them to the 21-7 victory.

The Bulldogs opened the game strong with a five-run first inning. The Patriots answered with four runs in the bottom of the frame. Hazard posted a single run in each of the next two innings to take the 7-4 lead.

Knott County tied the game at seven in the bottom of the third inning, but that would be the final run by the Patriots. Hazard took the 12-7 lead in the fourth inning as they put up another five runs.

A single run would appear on the board for Hazard in the fifth inning, but things would quickly pick up. In the sixth inning, the Bulldogs would explode for eight runs, netting them the 21-7 lead. That would be enough to bring the game to an end.

Blake Nidiffer picked up the win on the mound.

Hazard stats: Austin Johnson 2 runs and 1 hit. Reggie Jackson 1 RBI, J.T. Haynes 2 runs, 2 hits and 1 RBI, Griffen Wells 1 run, 2 hits and 3 RBI, Evan Whitaker 4 runs, 3 hits and 1 RBI, Jordan Olinger 3 runs, 5 hits and 3 RBI, Jacob Roll 3 runs, 2 hits and 2 RBI, Josh Meehan 3 runs, 2 hits and 1 RBI, Blake Lockhart 1 run, Cole Ratliff 1 hit and 1 RBI, Blake Nidiffer 1 run and 2 hits and Nathan Stupart 1 run, 2 hits and 4 RBI.
